Concrete nouns are things that you can experience with your five senses, you can smell, taste, touch, see or hear these things. For example: walls, books, glasses, peaches, bushes, trees, concrete, the playground and rabbits.
Abstract nouns are things you cannot see, hear, taste, see or smell but we know they exist. Some abstract nouns are: happiness, friendship, hatred, helpful, loyalty, love and sadness.
Compound nouns are two words that combine together to make a new word. Some examples of compound nouns are: football, knucklehead, butterfly, Superman, girlfriend and coffee shop.
